What would be the best way of marketing my cartoons?

Looking for info on sending to prospective buyers i.e. are email attachments better, what sizes to send (maybe doc size to open in illustrator) and how to present in general?

The best way I found in presenting my works of art online it to create a portfolio website. Then you can include the link in a email if the person or company is interested in seeing more. The first thing I would do before sending or showing any cartoon character you developed on or off line would be getting it or them copyrighted. For sending samples via email would be jpeg files about half size of a normal page. The size just needs to be seen easily but not so large it takes a long time for the email client to send. Remember that 2 mb is all email clients can send at one time before timing out.
Do NOT send image via attachment (since spam blockers could inter fer and throw into the receivers junk box) in bed the image(s) into the body of the email. And last be prepared for allot of rejection… but do not let this get you down, sometimes it will take years to get what you want in the art business.
i wonder whether people these days still invest in art because of the recession
i started up a free website for my cartoon drawings (and my animal pencil drawings) then advertised them one facebook and bebo and things though i think ‘word of mouth’ is the best way =) xx
