    Depending on your speciality/ies – offer free initial advice. Your efforts tell them that you exist and presumably what you do. Initial consultations get them through your door so they know where and who you are and a chance to asess your competence by the quality of the advice given or approach.
    Perhaps limit this to certain hours to fit your spare time.
