The Novel Network – Why do most of the reviews have identical content?
I’ve been doing some research on The Novel Network (the unlimited eBook download site) and it seems that most of the reviews indexed on Page 1 & 2 of Google are essentially the same…. written by the same author. When you get to page 3 of Google you finally find real customer reviews, one of which essentially says that the site offers very little in the way of recently published books. I’m surprised that Google (which of late has been filtering out duplicate content) has not caught this.

Yes. The site owners usually put them up themselves in order to lead people astray regarding the quality of books they host and sell. It is a very transparent tactic. Of course, you cannot discount the possibility of some of those reviews having been written by the ebook authors themselves – of course posing as ecstatic readers.
