Need to increase backlinks and traffic?

My goal is to increase traffic on our site and get more shoppers there since we wouldn’t have to pay as much in fees that we acquire through Amazon and eBay. I would like help on SEO and back links to increase the traffic and I hope that by join this site, it will happen. I just started using our Word Press again in hopes to help with getting more content into the search engines.
I am open to all suggestions from you all from web design and anything else relevant to my goals.
Building backlinks is by far the best way to increased traffic, You need to get 1 way links rather than 2 way.
I have found that it is very tedious and time consuming doing this manually so I found a way to automate the process.

Caffeinated Content (samething but pulls yahoo answers for you)
kizp rover (register link wheels and forums and harvest websites for blog commenting, semi auto blog commenter)
none of thee are free, but it takes money to make money.
You need to pull traffic from other websites. How you can do it? Its simple if you have a website i.e. related to business or selling then join some social networking websites and find your niche. Once you have joined several business related groups then start posting your articles/offer there and provide a source link i.e. your website’s page URL in which they can find what you want them to.
You can do same work with online business/consumer forums websites, free article submission websites and free classified websites. By doing these you’ll gradually build some quality incoming backlinks as well.
