I Know This Is Shallow, But How Can I Become More Known/Popular?
Let me start off by saying I do not mean to be shallow, I just want to be noticed and people to know who I am since some of my friends are. I do NOT want to do anything sexual to become popular. I’m waiting till marriage possibly. I want to respected, unlike other popular girls. In around 5th to 7th ish grade (I’m in 9th grade) I was a little bit of a nerd because I’m smart (92.8 average…). However, I noticed that this year and last people are beginning to see who I really am. I can be shy at first but after you know I’m outgoing, funny, and caring (that’s what friends have said). I hate to boast but I am pretty, a couple of friends would go as far and say I’m one of the prettiest girls in our grade.
So tell me what I should do (tips/advice) on how to ‘climb the ladder of popularity!’ Haha thanks for your help, even though I sound pretty shallow!

its not shallow , everybdy wants to be liked … longs u LOVE urself first then its not a problem … u sound sweet nd i bet u r very pretty … jus continue to b you and let things come naturally , i mean thats all u really can do … dont 2nd guess ursef and be more social .. strike up convos with ppl u dont kno .. really be urself , fun and keepn smiling, ppl will luv u !
p.s. i dont wana tell u dress a certain way or act a certain way cuz then it wouldnt really b u ,they’d b liking a fake you …

Shallow = Popularity
You sound like person.. just be you and you will be fine…
look to see who the more "popular" kids are in your class, and start to talk with them. once you become friends with them, you’ll be friends with their friends
but remember to not change yourself just to impress! and if they’re the type of kids who you know aren’t good, don’t waste your time
Be yourself look pretty try to get people to like you
Well at my school pretty much everyone in ASB is popular.
If you school has that maybe you should join.

Help people out, more people will like u and talk about how kind u are and they’ll tell more people and you;ll be well known as kind and your see more heads turn your way
Have the right clothes but still be yourself…Hollister/Abercrombie, Uggs & a Northface, etc.
Talk to EVERYONE & compliment as many people as you can! Sadly you’ll have to stop talking to some people who will bring your ranking down.

NO. seriously popularity doesnt matter!!! stick with a good goup of friends who arent into sleeping with the whole school. once you graduate HS it wont matter- youll never see 98% of your class again! dont try and make a name for yourself. its not worth it. people will know who you are/ you can make a name for youself by NOT doing what others do. be a respectable girl and guys you will be known.
