First of all you have to choose the topic on which you can write too much very easily, this is the main mistake which most of people do when they start. Then you need to choose such high paying Adsense keywords for which Google will serve high paying Adsense Ads. These will be the keywords which people are searching in google to find some product/information.
After deciding this you need to create a blog/site on blogger including that Keyword in the domain/site URL. And start optimizing your site for that keyword for SEO to come on top in google by including it in your articles, description, title, link exchange etc.
And start driving the traffic/visitors to your site to earn from adsense.

Adsense will pretty much NOT make you enough money to support anything….I wouldn’t rely on adsense as an income. It’s a nice boost but it’s not a primary source of money.

Well I can offer you a couple solutions to your question. First if you want to make money with Adsense you will need to get an account. Next you need to decide if you want to run Adsense on a free blog/website, or paid hosting. If you really want to do well then I would suggest using both free and paid hosting.
Free blogs can be found at blogger.com. They allow you to insert Adsense snippets into each blog you make. I would make 10 free blogs a week for whatever niche you aim for first. When you start out, I would focus on one niche, and nail it on the head by using these methods. Once you reach about 50-100 free blogs depending on how competitive your niche is then you will be at a good income hopefully. Depends on how well you research keywords and I mean you have to keep researching new keywords for your niche, you can’t just pick a list of keywords out and then use them forever.
Paid hosting – obviously is the route to go for Wordpress blogs, since free Wordpress blogs don’t allow Adsense. I would go with Dreamhost, simply because they have unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited disk space. No other host is going to offer this cost savings. Believe me you will need unlimited if you follow my methods.
Once you have paid hosting, install Wordpress blogs, and go and get some kind of content. There is content generating software out there. I would be careful using this. If you want something else try Wp-o-matic. I would use that as a supplimental source of traffic, and content generation.
