Does Google devaluate backlinks from Article Directory…………………?

Hi,

I attended a webinar and the speaker said that Google has devaluate backlinks coming from Article directories.
Is that true, do you have any references that state it?

    That is 100% not true. Google cannot do this because others can than abuse it to downrank competition.

    Always keep track of your backlinks though through tools like Blue Backlinks
