I have an iPod touch and just got the upgrade so it has google maps. There is a locator function that can pinpoint where I am and shows it on the map. Since the Touch uses wireless not cell phone signal, how is it locating me?


Why has Google Earth and Maps reverted to much older images than were previously available?

Up until recently, the images used by Google earth and maps were between 12 and 18 months old. However recently I’ve noticed that the maps have aged significantly. For example, my house that was built in 2000 now shows an empty field although the road overlay showing the street is still there.

Why are Google and Bing redirecting from links I choose to other search engines?

Whenever I perform a search on Google or Bing and try to go to one of the links the search returns, instead of going to the selected site it redirects to another random, obscure search engine. It does not seem to happen with Yahoo. Is this a virus? How can deal with it?
