Www.cashforgoldleprechaun.com is main domain and www.goldenleprechaun.com redirects to the first. Since googles last update, my site went from page 1 to 5 for my main terms. Does google think I am using duplicate content copied from my other site? Thanks!

I have a blog setup on my main domain (www.mydomain.com) – I want certain posts to appear on my sub domains (www.sub.mydomain.com/blog) … Is this possible? At the same time I don’t want duplicate content..I only want the post on one or the other.

I’m working locally and have built a site structure (users, mods, permissions, preferences, templates etc). I want another site with exactly the same setup (running from a different DB). What’s the best way of duplicating the sites’s setup (but not necessarily content)?

So far, I’ve downloaded drupal again and copied module and template files across to the new install. So I’ve created a new site, but how can I now copy preferences: activate mods, add users, permissions, theme activation, image presets etc without doing it all manually?

I tried exporting through phpmyadmin the DB from site ‘A’ to site ‘B’. Am I on the right track? At the moment, I’m having real problems importing the SQL file (too large). I’ve changed presets in php.ini as advised but still no luck.

I don’t want to spend hours making this work if it’s not going to produce the right results- Any advice is very welcome.

AVOID DUPLICATE CD CONTENT

I have two domain names the same name under the same company, however one is .ca and the other .com
Can i upload my website using ftp to each site. Is it ok to have duplicate content on both. Would Google mind this for SEO? I can then use Google webmaster tools to designate the .com to united states and .ca to Canada. Does this make sense? Thanks.

I have a problem with my website. I have a page on my website http://www.ensorbuilding.com/page.php/aboutus but if i type in www.ensorbuilding.com/page.php/aboutus/f8e45e9d9df6140bb5a7ff1173e8d828 or www.ensorbuilding.com/page.php/aboutus/0f0eea5e9ab0a3e8d91fad8fc0d3ce9c it still displays the about us page.

Google is seeing this as duplicate content so what I would want to do is 301 redirect anything after www.ensorbuilding.com/page.php/aboutus .

How could I implement a 301 redirect in this way?

I am wanting to get a new website address for my blog and I want users to start using the new address, but I don’t want to lose pagerank or links. My blog is hosted on blogger, and I’m finding that a 301 redirect is seemingly impossible using blogger (if I’m wrong please let me know!) I do not want duplicate content on two sites, so I’m wondering if I could delete the content on the old blog, and move it over to the new blog and then just put a link to the new site on the homepage of the old site. I hope that makes sense!

Any rss feeds would not transfer, correct? Is there a way to get those feeds to transfer with the new site address?
I don’t want to move from blogger to wordpress, I want to keep my blogger blog, just change the url. If I have to start a new blog, I want to just copy the posts from one blogger blog to another blogger blog and just link to the new one from the old one. I would put something like this on the homepage "’oldwebsitename has moved to ‘newwebsitename’, please update your address book."

It is said that some search engines have a problem with duplicate content websites – 2 websites for the very same business for example.

I’ve heard that this is especially true for Yahoo … is that true?

Yet, if I perform a search in Yahoo for a business that does have two almost identical websites for years… one of the websites still shows…

Does anyone know how anything about the rule of no duplicate content?
