I’m not sure what your exact business is, but actually the CPC costs have in many cases dropped. There are some highly competitive categories where prices have in fact risen. You need to analyze what it’s worth to your sales efforts — if your margins are not terribly hurt or the ad costs cannot be passed on to the customer thru higher prices then you will need to find some alternatives. You can try something like http://www.adbrite.com which is distributed across a lot of smaller sites. I’ve never tried it but I make some money from them.
