Email Marketing
I am starting a Hi Def tvs and accessories business. We have had a local photo store for years, now we’re getting into the HD market. Our niche: internet prices, savvy consulting, delivery, setup, installtion all at lowest prices.
We are already using craigslist. What about cost/benefit of: local radio ads?, promotions through other local retailers- and which kind?, mailings?, we do have a limited website currently, but we sell local only- so how to SEO for that?
We are also Ebay powersellers/drop-off site and use Constant Contact to email blast our existing local customers with deals.
Other ideas on product line and pricing would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Duplicate Content
What "program" is most reliable for removing "duplicated" files on a PC?
I need to "safely" remove or locate all "duplicated" files on my computer after recently running "file transfer wizard". I transferred my important files for study from my laptop running Windows XP Pro to our desktop running Vista Home Basic. Now I am finding several of the same file in various places all over! Is there a program I can use to "safely" remove all duplicated files? And I specify "SAFELY" because I don’t want to eliminate files that have similar names but not the same content.

Backlinks
I’ve learned that commenting on other people’s blogs are the best way to get attention from the blog traffic of another blogger. It creates backlinks to your site like by clicking your name or something and is not necessary to provide your links all over the place (I think we can make an exception for signatures maybe?). Question is, what If I wanted to contact the blogger (or author) with a proposition of adding links to me or on his site (however that’s supposed to work. If someone could explain that to me a bit more about the idea). How would I do that? I’m preaty sure I’d have to be a frequent first which could pose as time consuming for like 150 blogs to earn some trust from…

Adsense
My idea is to create a website and to write articles on HR & skills & personal development.
Also, i want to run adsense on it.
Do you think it is a viable idea (i consider viable something like 15$ per article) and where can i find a good tool for generating good keywords. Although the trial version of wordtracker gives some insights, it looks like words with high KEI are very ‘niche’ oriented. Any other tools and techniques that help to spot a trend will be appreciated.

I’m looking for a good book about email marketing. It has to include mailings and newsletters. How to create the best newsletter out there for example.
Any tips?

Pay Per Click
I’ve applied SEO techniques in designing websites with Yahoo Site-builder and have had great success. The only time my site didn’t come up on the first page of a keyword search is when we paid for a sponsored appearance with that search engine. The site came up first on all other major search engines except the one we had a sponsored position with.

Backlinks
The company I work for has built their audience naturally. No backlinks, reciprocal link exchanges or anything of that sort. They have been around for more than 10 years, yet only have a PageRank of 3. Monthly visitors to the site are over 1.6 million, so it kind of boggles my mind why their PageRank is so low.
We do not have a marketing manager, and I have been asked to build our PageRank even though I have no marketing or computer programming experience. I have been given no authorization for purchasing, so these tactics would have to be for free.
Any great suggestions from experienced webmasters would help be appreciated. Feel free to email me with any suggestions if you do not want to answer publicly. Thanks in advance.
